At Social Care Skills, our scheduled online seminars provide professionals from different organisations with opportunities to develop their knowledge, reflect on practice and learn alongside others working across children’s social care. But scheduled seminars are not the only way to access our training.

Our courses can also be delivered directly to your organisation as bespoke team training, either in person or live online via Microsoft Teams.

This means that if you see a Social Care Skills course that would benefit several members of your team, you do not necessarily need to book individual places on one of our scheduled seminars. We can arrange dedicated delivery for your organisation and adapt the session to reflect your service, staff group and development needs.

Training Built Around Your Team

Every service is different. Organisational structures, staff experience, the needs of children and young people, areas for development and current priorities can all influence what a team needs from training.

Providers can choose from our existing range of courses and have the training delivered specifically for their team. We can adapt the emphasis and content to reflect the organisation, type of provision, staff roles and identified development needs.

But organisations are not limited to our existing course programme.

Where a provider identifies a particular learning or development need, Social Care Skills can work with the organisation to design and develop a new bespoke course. This might respond to an emerging practice issue, findings from quality assurance or inspection, changes within the service, workforce development priorities, or a subject that is not currently covered within our programme.

It means the conversation can start with “What does your team need?” rather than simply “Which course would you like?”

In Person or Live Online

Bespoke training can be delivered in person at your organisation or live online via Microsoft Teams.

In-person delivery can be particularly valuable when organisations want to bring staff or management teams together for dedicated development, discussion and reflection around shared practice.

Live online delivery provides additional flexibility, particularly for providers operating across multiple services or locations.

Whichever format you choose, our focus remains on interactive learning and helping participants translate knowledge into everyday practice.

CPD Accredited Training

Our individual courses are CPD accredited, providing recognition of the professional learning undertaken by participants.
