Ofsted Inspection Framework Update Sessions Returning in June

Earlier this year, Social Care Skills delivered two seminars exploring the recent updates to the inspection frameworks for Supported Accommodation and Children’s Homes. The response from providers, managers, and leaders across the sector was extremely positive, with strong engagement and discussion throughout both sessions.

Due to the level of interest and the feedback received, we will now be running the same seminars again in June to give more professionals the opportunity to attend.

These seminars explore the key inspection framework updates introduced in 2026 and what they mean in practice for providers, leaders, and frontline teams. The sessions focus on the areas inspectors are increasingly paying attention to, including leadership oversight, evidencing impact, safeguarding practice, Annex A expectations, case tracking, and the quality of children’s experiences.

One of the strongest themes that emerged during the previous sessions was the growing recognition that inspection readiness is no longer simply about preparing for inspection week. Increasingly, providers are expected to demonstrate consistent oversight, reflective leadership, and clear evidence of how practice is improving outcomes for children and young people over time.

The seminars are designed to support:

  • Registered Managers
  • Responsible Individuals / Nominated Individuals
  • Deputy Managers
  • Team Leaders
  • Quality Assurance staff
  • Senior operational leaders

Whether you were unable to attend the original sessions or would like members of your wider team to benefit from them, these June sessions provide another opportunity to explore the changes and expectations shaping inspections in 2026.
