Social Care Skills is pleased to announce its November and December 2026 Live Online Training Programme, bringing together a range of practical, CPD-focused learning opportunities for professionals working across Children’s Homes, Supported Accommodation, Fostering Services and wider children’s social care.
As we approach the end of 2026, this is an ideal opportunity for providers, managers and practitioners to reflect on their professional development needs, strengthen their understanding of regulatory expectations and prepare for the challenges and opportunities of the year ahead.
Our programme combines regulatory knowledge with practical approaches to everyday professional challenges, helping teams translate learning into meaningful improvements in practice.

December 2026: Reflecting on Quality and Preparing for the Year Ahead
December’s programme continues our focus on effective leadership, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.
As organisations review their performance and plan their priorities for 2027, December’s training provides an opportunity to strengthen quality assurance arrangements, evaluate the effectiveness of care and support, and consider how workforce planning contributes to sustainable, high-quality services.
Key themes include:
- Ofsted Quality of Care and Support Reviews – Understanding how to evaluate the quality and impact of services, identify areas for improvement and use findings to drive positive change.
- Developing and Using an Effective Workforce Plan – Exploring how workforce planning can support safe staffing, staff development, service stability and effective organisational leadership.
The December programme is particularly relevant for Registered Managers, Responsible Individuals, senior leaders and professionals with responsibility for service development and quality assurance.
