Training continues to be an essential part of building confident, knowledgeable and consistent teams within social care. Many providers tell us that ongoing planning for training is becoming increasingly difficult. Budgets shift, staffing pressures rise, and booking individual sessions takes time that services often don’t have.

To support this, Social Care Skills is introducing a flexible way to access our live online training. Instead of purchasing individual places for each course, providers can subscribe to a monthly plan that gives them a set number of training places to use across any of our live online seminars. This makes training predictable, easier to manage and simpler to plan around the operational needs of your service.

These packages were shaped by the feedback we receive from providers who want training options that offer both flexibility and financial stability. Each subscription gives your organisation a pool of training places every month that can be allocated to any staff member, frontline workers, new starters, team leaders or managers, depending on the needs of your service.

How It Works

Every month, the responsible person in your organisation will receive an email setting out the courses scheduled for the month after next. This is always sent with at least one month’s notice to ensure full visibility and support your planning.

For example, if you subscribe at the end of January, you will receive the list of March courses.

Training places can then be allocated internally based on availability, learning needs and staffing priorities. Each place can be used for any live online seminar on our calendar, with full freedom to mix topics across your team.

There is no long-term commitment, and organisations can adjust their package whenever training needs change.
