Miguel Valerio is an experienced Social Worker with 20+ years of experience. He’s a social care consultant, trainer, and regulatory specialist with deep expertise in risk management, care planning, and quality assurance. He worked for more than decade as Senior and Operational Manager responsible for Children’s Homes and Supported Accommodation settings, also leading service development, supporting teams, and ensuring high standards of care planning and risk assessment.

Now through Social Care Skills, Miguel provides training and consultancy to help professionals strengthen their documentation, improve practice, and meet regulatory expectations. His sessions are known for being practical, reflective, and grounded in real-world experience.
