Healthy Relationships, Consent and Abuse

Join us for this training session designed for professionals working with children and young people in residential and supported living settings. This session explores how practitioners can promote healthy, safe relationships, understand the complexities of consent, and recognise and respond effectively to abuse, particularly within the context of trauma, adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), and vulnerability.

Drawing on relational and trauma-informed frameworks, this training will help participants build confidence in supporting young people to develop safe, respectful connections and navigate boundaries with understanding and empathy.

Meet Your Trainer: Ines Fernandes

Ines Fernandes is a qualified and passionate social worker with extensive experience supporting young people across diverse settings, including supported accommodation, CAMHS, and schools. Known for her commitment to empowerment and relational practice, Ines has managed services for vulnerable young people and worked within multidisciplinary teams to deliver meaningful, trauma-informed support.

She has a strong background in mental health and has supported young people and families through complex emotional and psychological challenges. Ines currently leads outreach and wellbeing-focused projects that promote safety, resilience, and recovery for young people affected by trauma, relationships, and exclusion.
