[Dev. Session] Leading Transitions Without Losing the Child

Transitions between placements, services or stages of care can be some of the most destabilising moments in a young person’s journey. This development session explores how leaders can ensure that transitions are managed with planning, stability and relational continuity, reducing the risk of disruption and emotional harm.

This session forms part of the Social Care Skills Children’s Homes Leadership Programme, which provides ongoing leadership development and professional support for managers and senior practitioners in residential care. Through training sessions, leadership discussions and sector updates, the programme supports leaders to strengthen practice, governance and outcomes for children.
